YouPec confererence (anti consumerisim in holland)
The YouPEC conference that will be held in the Netherlands from the 30th of June till the 5th of July.
There are still places for Irish people to join this conference.
So if you like to take part in a 6 day conference on consumption with lot's of workshops, project
development and meet lots of other European
youth who are all interested in the environment and protecting it.

It's a gathering for people between "18 and 30 years old,from EU member states or Switzerland, Norway
and turkey who have opinions about consumption.
People from each country will participate for a week of
workshops, discussions and fun focused on forming a youth declaration on consumption, and Through a
Open Space workshop we will gather your ideas for
great projects on Environmental issues and together develop them into reallife projects that will be used after the conference. So bring all your
creative ideas for actions, campaigns or other projects and together we'll help you to develop them..."

YouPEC is a great initiative, so if you are 'young' and think this is for
you..or you know a young person who is just getting into thinking about the
environment or consumption then this could be great for them.
If
nothing else, events like this are a brilliant opportunity for Irish young people to
meet environmental activists from Scandinavia and the Netherlands who are
radical on climate change and consumption in a way that has not yet been
seen in Ireland...so spread this around
And emphasise to anyone who wants to go that they should get together in a group of five Irish people and travel as slowly as possible over land for carbon and bonding reasons :)
